Further to ECASBA’s recent actions in relation to the impact of the upcoming implementation of the EU ETS from 1st January 2024, please find attached for your information a joint press release issued by ECASBA in conjunction with its European partners FEPORT, ETA and EMPA, calling on the European Commission to study the impact of the ETS on European ports and the potential for cargo diversion.
ECASBA will continue to monitor the implementation of the ETS and its impact, and ensure members are kept fully advised of any developments.
