Dear All,
Further to the undernoted email, please find attached for information
copy of a press release outlining the European Union’s overall objectives in
reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030. They were unveiled in
Commission President Ursula van der Leyden’s State of the Union address last
week. Whilst extension of the Emissions Trading Scheme to maritime transport is
not specifically mentioned, it is of course expected to be included in the
legislative proposals to be issued in June next year.
